My family eats at SALIN regularly. It was always very pleasant. On our last visit we were very disappointed. The service (male) unfriendly, There is only one menu. Wienerschnitzel was served, which was not on our menu. My daughter is there for breakfast regularly. Comes from Saalfelde. We are still thinking about coming.

We visited the restaurant on Friday evening. Even though we didn't have a reservation and it was pretty full, the waitress gave us a friendly welcome. We were looked after and we were offered a table inside first. Since we wanted to sit outside, we were offered a table outside the first time we could. The service was always friendly and professional. We'd have to wait over half an hour for the food. However, it was worth it as it tasted very good.

Wanted to eat and drink.We were a group of 10 people.After ordering we had to wait more than an hour for the starter, mine was forgotten on request. The main course came back after more than an hour, no drink replenishment !! The food looks and tastes like ready meal. The service was very friendly, our requests and the drinks came quickly and well chilled. In the heat of the day we limited ourselves to a lot of water and a couple of Aperol Spritz and Bellini. The mix was impeccable. Since we were a little hungry, we sat down, at one of the larger tables. As an appetizer we both had salad. One with glass noodles and prawns with sesame and mango. The sesame smelled wonderful. The other was a colorful salad with chanterelles, feta and a fruity chutney. Both very nicely presented delicious and light. The atmosphere was great and we have each decided for a main course. For example, salmon with black risotto, a frothy light wine sauce, crunchy spring onions and a few drops of green foam or mouse. The second main dish was sweet potato gnocchi with pesto, garnished with roasted pine nuts and fried chanterelles. Both were normal sized portions and we liked it very much. Conclusion: Everything was delicious. Creatively presented. Ambience great. Prices in total reasonable. Value for money TOP as I think. Pleasant informal atmosphere. Great service. My recommendation, if you want to go chic and yet easy to eat. At peak times with multiple people, a reservation is probably not bad. We were there in the best summer time in July.

We were here lunch today after the visit of the Old Saline here with the food. The food (three main courses, three desserts) were fresh with high quality ingredients and tasted very good. It is nice that here really on own cooking value is placed and NO prefabricated components are used. The service was very friendly and always on hand. A perfect complement to the beautiful environment of the Old Saltworks. We recommend!
